MIND CONTROL

Derek Bennett, considers mind control.

When writing most articles for the Euro Realist newsletter I tend to have a modicum of knowledge about the subject. Usually, my articles are about the absurdity of the European Union, the madness of our membership of it and the immense harm it does to Britain and her people. However, something came my way recently that was intriguing which I am finding is quite something to get my head around - ironically the item was concerned with 'Mind Control', as well as other methods the state, or powerful organisations, can control the reactions of crowds or individuals.

I received an e-mail from someone who has said is a victim of these techniques, which made me wonder just what was going on. The sender of this e-mail seemed like a rational person but some of the contents of the message made me wonder how rational the person was. However, when I began to search for some web-sites on Mind Control and more interestingly, but related, 'Non-lethal Weapons there were some intriguing items.

Anne Palmer, whose informative articles often grace the pages of the Euro Realist, did a bit of looking around too, her response was to stay clear as it all seemed a bit murky, and some of the information on the internet is a bit suspect, although there seems to be quite a bit of research going on in various universities. In fact, for those with access to the internet simply do a Google search for “Non-lethal Weapons” and you will be amazed at what comes up.

There are European web-sites on the subject with links to universities here in the UK and, without doubt, a lot of this research has been going on for many years regarding the development of technology to control people and their actions.

For those who keep abreast with news and developments you will already know that shops, or places which have shelters or doorways where gangs of youths hang out, are now being fitted with a simple device which deters younger people. The method is simplicity in itself, the device emits a high frequency sound that only younger ears can detect, the noise is so irritating the youths move on to another place where they will not be disturbed. Older people are not affected, due to the fact that by the time someone has reached their early twenties their hearing has become less sensitive and they no longer hear the noise which would have irritated them a year or two earlier.

There have also been media reports fairly, recently, of other methods of crowd control using microwave. Experiments have been taking place with a system known as ADS which fires a 95-gigahertz microwave beam, which is supposed to heat skin and to cause pain but no physical damage (New Scientist, 27 October 2001, p 26). The idea behind this one is that when confronted by a rioting mob, police can aim this weapon at the mob who find the subsequent burning sensation so uncomfortable they have no option but to move away from the source of the heat, and disperse. For those in authority wishing to control crowds it is an ideal weapon. Water cannon has limited use, tear gas canisters are often thrown back atr the police, and an organised mobs are often equipped ready to cope with tear gas. Also rubber bullets have been known to seriously injure or even kill, as we have witnessed in Northern Ireland.

So, there is already a great deal of technology in place, or under development, which is designed to control crowds and people, and it is obvious by the number of references to the European Union on many web-sites it has a great interest in this technology. However, what of mind control itself? This is the bit where I really begin to struggle.

If you do a Google search for this it comes up with some weird and wonderful stuff. The Wikipedia site contains this passage: “There are a number of controversial issues regarding mind control and the methods by which control might be attained (either direct or more subtle) are the focus of study among psychologists, neuroscientists, and sociologists. The question of mind control has been discussed in relation to religion, politics, prisoners of war, totalitarianism, black operations, neural cell manipulation, cults, terrorism, torture, parental alienation, and even battered person syndrome.

Mind control as a legal defence tactic was rejected by the court in the case of Patty Hearst, and in several court cases involving New Religious Movements. Also, questions of mind control are regarding ethical questions linked to the subject of free will.”

One of the things this search threw up was a You Tube item at: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2927316845773056069 which gives a report on how the idea of mind control has been around for several centuries and developed into hypnosis. The plot of the 1962 film, 'The Manchurian Candidate' was all about mind control and how a US serviceman and Korean war prisoner was brainwashed into committing an assassination of a high profile American politician. There are also reports of people here and abroad being the random victims of mind control and electromagnetic technology. It is claimed that some of these victims were driven to end their own lives.

The suicide of Dr David Kelly, the renowned scientist, who questioned the legitimacy of 'weapons of mass destruction' in Iraq, has even been questioned as some feel he was also a victim of mind control. Many theorists think that by using hypersound equipment voices and thought can be beamed into someone's head. One report states that an experiment has already been conducted in the USA in a publicity stunt using hypersound technology on a street location.

This side of things is where it all gets a bit dark and murky, and what I have read and studied seems to have no verification. It was said that the Nazi, Tesla, had been using concentration camp victims during World War Two for research into this and other methods. On this issue I am treading on uncharted ground and cannot be sure of the facts as presented to me. However, a number of people, including some MPs, are beginning to show an interest in these matters and especially the use of non-lethal weapons.

This quote was taken from the web-site of the 'European Working Group' on 'Non-Lethal Weapons' (http://www.non-lethal-weapons.com/): “Several countries are currently developing and implementing new non-lethal capabilities. They do so in the belief that this will enable many emerging and non-traditional threats (which may appear in low intensity, asymmetric conflicts and non-combatant operations) to be countered with a progressive response. Non-lethal weapons are of interest to the military and to law enforcement agencies as, in many cases, the character of the scenarios is similar. Non-lethal weapons can be seen as having dual-use application and they provide armed forces and law enforcement agencies with additional options to respond in a tailored and graduated manner.

Many people in the UK, the US and other countries think they are the targets of mind control experiments as things have happened to them they cannot explain, which begs the question why would they be targeted if they pose no threat to the nation or anyone else? This is a question these victims cannot answer, but there are thousands of them and they are networking and they claim there has been literally an explosion of victims since 2001. So what is going on?

There are times when fact becomes stranger than fiction, my mind is in confusion regarding the deciphering of what is plausible and what is fantasy as a lot of what I have read is hard to believe, yet there is technology to control the masses is being developed, and whats more, the EU is interested in it.
